Hy School Time

It is exam time all around. For me too actually. I am appearing for my law masters. But alas! the lazy me is not able to study at all. My over-confidence is playing a major role here. Last semester, I cleared amazingly without studying. So this time too; I am slightly over confident!

But when you appear for exams after marriage; whether you study or not; you have to sit with a book in hand. This is the major reason behind my kind of absence from a few blogs. But I have been reading all the posts on my phone. I love technology.

Ain't I ranting? Exam effect guys. At wrong side of twenties; well settled in my professional life; but still I love to bungee jump on the kulhadi. I keep studying.

But this time for the first time I felt so very happy about exams. It so happened that I needed some stationary. I asked my Father in law to get some for me. I even needed a pouch to keep those pens and pencils. And he got confused about what to get me and what exactly I needed. So he got me a compass box with cartoons on it.

the HY SCHOOL Compass Box
Isn't it ermmm cute?

Bit only this, He got me a pouch too; with barbies all over it.

Ah, the whole thing took me back to my school days when we used to flaunt our new compass box; make others jealous if we had the one with latest cartoons and get jealous if somebody managed to own a better one.

And today in the examination hall; I was the only person with the best compass box. No competition at all. first time I felt like the queen of the class. Ah silly isn't it?

But try it out. Go and buy such stationery; cover your books with khaki covers and put those labels; write your name, roll number, class and division and subject; click it and post it. It's a great feeling to re-visit those old days in old ways..

  8. Interesting Pen(and Pencil) Writes !!

Hope you did wonderfully in your exam.

My daughter too, often insists on acquiring fancy compass boxes and pouches when exams happen. But it took me back to my days ("there she goes again ....:-).."), when all we had was a green and orange tin compass box, into which we stuffed all the small small sharpened pencils, ink pens , erasers, blades and sharpeners; and we used this single purchase throughout our college years..

  33. Even i hate studying. I too was lucky that i cleared exams without having to sit and mug things up. Yea, the cartoon reminded me of my KG days, though i have no memory of those days whatsoever.

Nice to know u r well settled in your profession, we hardly hear that these days. People are so unhapy with what they have, grass always looks fresher the other side of the building. Including myself. I wanna be a chef of my restaurant, thats the ultimate settlement for me professionally. TC
