Wednesday - with words!

Work is keeping me very busy these days; but blogging works as a stress buster. But these days stress has taken away so much of my time that i do not even get time to blog! I hate such tactics of it!

Anyways, I will cut the long story short; today you will spot many blogs posting an image and writing nothing. They call it a Wordless Wednesday (WW is better). But the talkative me couldn't just post an image and write nothing. No offense meant to people who take part in WW; as these are my views purely.

But isn't it amazing? Every time we say "No offense Meant" immediately after offending somebody? Hmmm.

And the image above would not have fit the bill of WW as the image itself has the words "Don't Touch Me". Even auto rickshaw meter has an attitude.

I will stop here. Very very soon, you will see a guest post on Neha's Blog. Guria is honouring this blog with her very much valuable words. So be glued to this space to read the work of one of the fantastic bloggers of Blogsphere!

Ugich Konitari's comment for this post left me ROFL. So I thought to make it a part of the post. Here it goes:

"Abhi na jao chhod kar,
Yeh metre abhi bhara nahi..."
She stepped off
the ricksha,
eyes on the metre,
a foot on the ground;
his hand
on the accelerator,
revving up,
to convert
the 0 to 1....

Eyes wide,
alarmed,
she points ,
to the changing numbers,
in
a stationary ricksha...
" Madam, tees rupya,
sab barabar hai,
haat mat lagaiye...."
Aaj to Numberwala Wednesday hai !"

  6. I think DON'T TOUCH ME on a meter has an implied meaning - only the rickshaw driver can touch and temper with my readings... u just read (and don't touch) the meter and pay accordingly ;)

  7. oooo... looks like even i am bit by the WW bug... may not be to the extent like others. I did post 2 photos along with some wordings. Does that still qualify for WW?

Anyways.. something is better than nothing ;) Get over over with the tension tactics soon.

  8. Nice one. Is it not sometimes when someone says NO it is a YES. I take it that way for this DONT TOUCH ME. I have seen some wordless wednesday posts. They mainly use photos of nature scenes. Some are good and some are not.

  11. Its difficult to be wordless. If someone asks me that... I would feel like they are punishing me for something. But then again when i down in the dumps may be....

  12. @ Sammy, you know, I thought not to write anything and post this as a WW..then I thought of adding a PS asking whether an image with text written on it can be qualified for WW? but i ended up with this post in the end :D Don't Touch Me meters I have spotted only in Mumbai..
btw, my blog loves stalkers..and my husband has to agree with me :P

@ Insignia, WW is a common concept on blogsphere..lol @ ur logic :D

@ Shilpa, oh yeah..an idea to get over the block :) you guess it right..it's there on Mumbai Meters :D

@ WW is usually an image post..there will be one image posted on wednesday and nothing else written; as some images speak louder than words..how - don't ask me that! since no words; it is a Wordless Wednesday..

    @ Anuradha, hahahahaha..great interpretation :D

@ Mohan, :D no..it has to be a wordless post..let's start Wednesday with Word :P thanks for the wishes :)

@ SG, oh cool...I like your funda..I am yet to come across a bad WW image..

    @ Nethra, lolzzzzz :D

  17. Ever wondered why do the say"Dont touch me" in Mumbai on meters?
The meter wire is connected to the system. Once, during rains, one passenger got a minor shock when the meter got wet.So instead of scaring away the passengers, some innovative copyrighter created this punch line.
Does my comment sound stupid on this post?May be---but that is it.
